Night @tritonmuseum was the first ever event of its kind at the
Triton Museum of Art, located in Santa Clara.
The event was the created and installed by museum Preparator, Bryan Callanta.
It strove to bring together local community artists to share and discuss their work and ideas with anyone who was interested.
All ages were welcome to participate in such interactive activities as
art demos, still life drawing, poetry readings, etc.

Hands are my favorite part of the body to draw. They contain so much detail and expression. I feel that a person's hand really define who they are and can be an alternate to the traditional portrait.

Often I choose to draw portraits in a variety of different styles. The above portraits are three different art styles I have incorporated into a recent sketchbook (I recommend Stillman & Birn sketchbooks, I find the high-quality paper takes on a variety of different mediums very well).
